Spencer House Apartments is a 48-unit affordable housing multi-family property in Beaverton that serves families and individuals of very modest means. Most of the units (38 of 48) have project-based rental assistance, and the housing complex has one, two, and three bedroom units.
Spencer House is located adjacent to a park and fire station, less than one mile from elementary and high schools, and is part of what is considered the second “most walkable” neighborhood in Beaverton. Onsite facilities include play areas, an Internet-equipped computer room and a community room with a small library and designated reading area for children.
In 2013, an extensive rehabilitation project was completed at Spencer House, repairing plumbing, replacing fixtures, cabinetry, ventilation, improving insulation, replacing windows, doors, roofs, gutters, downspouts, and adding accessibility improvements on the site, The rehabilitation project was designed to meet Green Communities standards.
