HomeWord Bound 2014

On Friday April 11th 2014, CPAH presented our sixteenth annual "HomeWord Bound" at the Oregon Zoo (Cascade Crest Banquet Center), 4001 SW Canyon Road, Portland 97221.

The featured speakers for our 16th annual HomeWord Bound fundraiser were Cheryl Strayed, Cari Luna and Peter Ames Carlin.

Cheryl Strayed

Cheryl Strayed is the author of #1 New York Times bestseller “Wild,” the NYT bestseller “Tiny Beautiful Things,” and the novel “Torch.”

“Wild” was chosen by Oprah Winfrey as her first selection for Oprah’s Book Club 2.0, and the movie version is currently being filmed in Oregon, starring Reese Witherspoon, directed by Jean-Marc Vallée, and with a screenplay by Nick Hornby.


Cari Luna

Cari Luna's debut novel, “The Revolution of Every Day” (about a community of tenement squatters in New York City in the 1990s), was chosen one by The Oregonian as one of the Top 10 Northwest books of 2013.
